I have always bought RS books and magazine, this car was pictured in Jeremey Waltons book "RS - The Faster Fords" ISBN 0-947981-21-7

This car is seen on page 221 in two photos.

I may scan the picture one day.

March 2004 - I was sent an email from Chris with a link www.xrrs-club.nl at which a picture of #010 lives.

He says "It is from jenny v Hilten in Luxemburg. It is a formen pacecar from ford it self. Sold bij bob howe in boreham in September ‘87 It has been raced and fully restored. Every year this car is on display at the European ford event. It is LHD has 450 bhp ( it had more 530bhp) Don’t now reg number or mileage."

April 2004 - I have been told that #010 when resident in the UK was registered as D439PJN thus I have combined that page with this.

D439PJN is seen on page 219 and page 237, I may scan the picture one day.

I also read and saw a picture of this car in the book on RS 200's published by unique motor books.

I found a picture of the car here http://www.thesunsite.com/rs200sales.html but I don't think it's the one for sale, I think someone just scanned an image of a 200 for the website.

June 2004 - I have had contact from the current owners of #010, Jenny and Bram van Hilten, Jenny used to race this car and won different national and international championships. It has been fully restored. The engine produces 530 BHP when in race trim but drops to 450 BHP when used with a more sensible road exhaust. They used to own chassis #152 also.

A very unusual thing about this car is that it has the letters FE in the chassis rather than the normal GL, A person who claimed to have worked at Boreham thought #010 had a re-enforced works-chassis ? - Bob Howe is going to dig out his records. The car was originally registered on 3.9.1986 as D439PJN and re-registered in Luxembourg on 30.12.1987 as 86200.

June 2004 - Another enthusiast, William Arnold, has sent me a some images for the database...

Drive Arcticle

Landgraf

Autocar Cover

Some more...

October 2006 - Just a little tidying up here, Jenny has been in touch and reminded me of a point that Bram told me a little while ago, in the copy of December 1990's Fast Ford, middle page, front row, last car on the right you can see chassis #010 where I originally believed it to have been chassis #152. This is because at first chassis #010 bore the index number 77055 and when they bought chassis #152 they moved the plate later to that car leaving #010 with the index "RS200" (what a great plate) but they lost that while the car was standing in the Autotron museum when the rules changed and then chassis #010 went on to bear the index 86200 (the best they could get after loosing RS200) which is still on the car now.. sorry for the confusion ! LOL :)
