I was in email conversation with the owner of #010 and they said they thought #016 was the IMSA-GTO car.
I have seen the chassis number mentioned so I think the car does or did exists but where it is now I do not know.
October 2005 - I was reading some of the original owners club magazines and indeed #016 appears to be the IMSA car !
January 2006 - Found it ! - Tony Krezel from Colorado State University has sent me an email...
"Just thought I'd add some information about Chassis 016, the IMSA GTO race car. The car was sold some time ago to a gentleman in California, and the car was found by us (Colorado State University) last summer to be taken on as a restoration / research project. Currently the car is almost completely disassembled in preparation for restore / repair operations underway over the next few months at our facility in Colorado. I have sent a few pictures of the car as it was before we started disassembly. I will be sure to send more when we complete the restoration."
May 2007 - Kay Boyle sent me some images of #016 that he built back in the 80's for Dan Ripley.
June 2007 - Ian O'Sullivan has sent me an image from 1989 outside Gordon Spooners workshop in Essex. Great old image.
Jarrod has sent me some more images...
