I think #106 was originally sold through Pleasurable Developments in Colorado Springs, USA around May 1989 and was intended for a Frank Profera, California.

I think it also had power steering and a smaller steering wheel which is quite rare.

It was sold as an evolution 2.1 model having been original intended to be chassis 216 but on return to FORD was left with chassis 106.

I know that at some point Helen Boring (USA) has custody of this car as I was aware she was offering it for sale, I do not know who owned it in-between if indeed there was anyone.

March 2004 - I was sent some information about a this very quick RS200 that lives in the US.

I am trying to find out some more information, the only pictures of a yellow RS200 I have ever seen are below...

... but I have no idea if this is the same one !?

Here is a copy of a fax being sent by Bob Howe talking about chassis #106 which it would appear was being offered for sale in January 2003, the original sales paperwork for chassis #106 and the advert from somewhere. ( I have blurred out the personal details for sake of privacy)

September 2004 - I have been in conversation with John beck who is proud to tell me he has bought this car, brought it back from the US having bought her from Helen Boring and it is currently alive and well and living in the UK ! - John used to own #123 and #179 but sold these some time ago but now owns this car and #081.

December 2004 - I have had an email from the original owner Frank Profera, I am hoping for some more history !

July 2005 - Jon has sent me some images..

August 2005 - Jon is still of the mind to sell #106 and as such has placed her into the H&H auction due for 21st September 2005, to remind you, she has the later EVO 2 engine running around 550 - 600 BHP sitting on 9.25 & 9.5 x 16" spilt rim speedlines, custom 4 inch exhaust, power steering, Big AP brakes, fly-off hydraulic handbrake, new turbo, uprated viscous diffs and the larger IMSA spec. intercooler. Guide price, £75k

September 2005 - Well, this has to be the lowest price an EVO has ever sold for, £54,000 !! - Someone got a bargain here, Jon is at least happy someone has bought her and hopefully we shall see her out more in 2006 - I am hoping I will get to find the new owners details for the website.

September 2005 (about 4 hours after the above post) - Been contact by #106's new owner, Phil Richardson - The wonders of the internet !

If you find any further info on this vehicle please email me on justin@rs200.org

Thanks,

Justin Smith
