105 (EVO 215) - 23P73 - 2.1 - LHD - White - Current owner NOT known - May be in USA

From the FORD paperwork I have seen this car appears to have been sold to a M Nordstrom from Sweden about March 1987, it had been assembled as a RHD but was converted for sale to LHD. The vehicle was destined to be chassis 215 but retained chassis 105.

A Ford customer collection telex dated 23/2/1987 in the file for the car shows that the car was intended to be collected on 8/3/1987 by a Jan Nasholm from Monroe Europe, Sweden but another telex from John Wood at Ford shows the car as ready for release to M Nordstrom, Sweden with a delivery date of 24/4/1987, the document shows "Leasing Consult AB" to be the assignee, both pieces if info here link to the sponsors you can see in photos during 1987. Sales price was £57,000.

1987 December - Motaquip British Rallycross Grand Prix Winner

As per the wikipedia entry https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brands_Hatch_race_winners you can see Nordstrom mentioned..

An article here talks about Mikael Nordstrom and his RS200E "A massive crowd braved the chilly December weather to see Mikael Nordstrom leading the sixth Motaquip British Rallycross Grand Prix from the front row in a confident run with his Ford RS200E." http://classiccarmag.net/1987-brands-ha ... rand-prix/. Of course I have no way now of knowing if this is car 105 but there were only a handful of EVO's made and I think, from memory, this is the only car in my file that shows as being sold to a M Nordstrom.". You can see in the image the sponsor of Monroe.

You can see a video of the race here, skip to the A class final at about 13m28s to see car 34 (it has it down as 84?) which seems to be the car the article is referring to.

There are a nice set of images here also, one of which shows Nortstrom in a RS200E. https://www.fluidr.com/photos/parkstree ... 9656272630

In 2009 I met the owner of the car (VS) from Norway.

May 2011 - Having kept in touch with (VS) (and having met a few times at my home in the UK) I went to Norway and met two RS200 owners one of which was (VS) who owned #105 and #064. Sadly at the moment I cannot find any pictures of #105 from my visit but it was undergoing a restoration at the time.

November 2017 - I was shown a link to an auction with 105 for sale http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24124/lot/128/ which has with some interesting comments as to the timelines...

"Chassis number '00105' was sold by Ford's Competitions Department at Boreham on 30th April 1987 to Mikal Nordstrom (receipt on file) and used by him for hill climbs and rally-cross. Subsequently, the car was sold to the JBJ Group, was returned to road specification and registered in Sweden. It was sold to the current owner on 13th September 2000 and is currently registered in Norway."

December 2020 - Nice article on the car here https://sportscardigest.com/1986-ford-rs200-evolution/ which mentions the car being at auction here https://stratas.auction/auction/1986-fo ... olution-54

March 2021 - I notice it has been a long time since I updated this cars entry, today someone sent me a link to #105 at auction https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1986-ford-rs200-3/ so I figured I should get the entry up to date. I have noticed that Mikael has an excellent photo on his website of his RS200 dated 17/6/1987...
