the backing inside mine is getting dull, can they be replaced we another make, part numbers?

yep I get mine from Euro Car Parts. Genuine Hella £24 or a slighlty nasty quality foeign one for £12. You shouldn't need a part number. All MK2 golfs got same one. But I'll find hella number tomorrow for ya. Trev

Once you've got the lenses you might want to upgrade the bulbs ?
