Evo or 1.8 ? New or used?
Hi,
Max sent me some additional information.
It is a brand new (never used) 1804 BDT bloc (not Evo). It was the spare engine bloc for chassis 109.
For inquiries you can either send him directly a PM or if you want me to translate to Italian send them to me and I'll pass on the requests.
Hopefully we should get some pictures too

An additional picture of the engine block that I was sent:
This shows the part number on the block which begins with H85. This means the block was cast in 1985 (vs. 1982 for the blocks cast for the RS1700T). It was the block as used in the works cars.
The sale is now on hold as the buyer of car 109 has first refusal on the spare engine block. He should provide a final answer by end of this week. I will get in touch by PM with those who have shown interest individually to update you as soon as we find out more about the availability for the sale.

What is the latest on this block, is it still for sale ?
For all that inquired about this engine block there is some new information about it. It is still (back) for sale now.
More information about the origin of the H85 block. As can be seen from the photos it is intended to be fitted with Cooper rings. This was the main difference between the H85 and the usual H82 block. The history behind it is that early in 1986 head gaskets for the H82 were too weak and hence the H85 (w. cooper rings) was made to overcome this "weakness". Later on during the season some stronger head gaskets were made available.
This block is ideal for anyone wanting to build a strong 1.8 engine to works spec.
Here are a few more detail photos (clock on a thumb to enlarge):
